If This Is Your First Van Life Festival...
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW?! The van life and overland community is very welcoming. You will definitely make friends with your neighbours. Open your doors and say hi! There will also be workshops so you can meet people that are at the same part of their journey as you.
Is there an ATM?
Yes, there is an ATM in the Activity Hall. Some vendors will accept Debit and Credit, some vendors are cash only.
Will There be Food Trucks?
YES! We have 4 awesome food vendors booked for the event. One Cool Cookie, Dude's Dogs, Pipedreamzz & VanIsle Poutinery. Lots of choices for your tummy filling adventures! There are many Vegan, Vegetarian and GF food options for everyone..
Can we bring our own alcohol?
Yes, but your personal alcohol must remain on the camping side of the property.
Is there Alcohol for sale?
There will be a beer garden open near the stage from 12pm - 10pm on the 12th & 13th. Beer Garden will be Cash Only. ATM Machine is available onsite
Are there showers?
No Showers
Are there bathrooms?
We will have 12 porta potties spaced through the site and there are also washrooms in the Activity Centre. There are accessible porta potties and the Activity Hall washrooms are also accessible.
Can we leave & return if we are camping?
Not with your vehicle. Due to safety reasons we can't allow camping vehicles to come and go. Everything you need can be found within walking distance from the event.
How do we get there?
We have a whole page dedicated to how to get to Vancouver Island.
Where do we park if we are walking in on the 12th or 13th?
There is public street parking available along Highway 4A.
Are Children welcome?
Yes, but your kiddos will have to remain under your care during the event as we have no daycare or babysitting services. There are areas of the event that will only be open to 19 years & up and will require ID for entry.
Can we get a refund if we buy tickets and can't come?
There are no refunds for any of the tickets, however you can contact Amanda - info@westcoastvanfest.ca and she will see if she can fill your spot from the waitlist. If she can fill your spot, we will refund your ticket.
Are tickets transferrable?
No, your ticket is tied to your rig and quantity of campers.
Can we have a fire?
There are NO open fires allowed. We will not know if propane fire pits are allowed until a few days before the event. We will let everyone know as soon as we can. This will be based on permission from our local fire department.
Can walk in attendees buy tickets at the door?
Yes. Prepurchase walk in tickets will be $10 for each day (June 12 & June 13.)
Can we use a generator?
Yes, but please be mindful of your neighbours and only run the generator for 2-3 hours at a time and between the hours of 9am - 8pm.
Is there access to water?
Yes. Jugs can be filled with potable water at various locations throughout the property.
Is there wifi?
There is limited wifi available on the property. If you have starlink, bring it. If you don't have starlink, make friends with someone who does :)
Can we bring pets?
Yes, but pets must remain on leash at all times.
