PLEASE NOTE - IT IS ALWAYS BEST TO RESERVE AND/OR PRE PAY FOR YOUR FERRY, EVEN IF IT IS NOT REQUIRED ON THE ROUTE.
COMING FROM VANCOUVER/LOWER MAINLAND
Vancouver (Horseshoe Bay) - You will take BC Ferries Horseshoe Bay to Nanaimo (Departure Bay). ** YOU MUST BOOK AND PAY IN ADVANCE FOR THIS ROUTE**
COMING FROM TSAWASSEN
There are 3 routes you can take from Tsawwassen to get to Vancouver Island. Though not required, it is best to reserve and/or prepay for these routes.
Tsawwassen to Nanaimo (Duke Point) - You will take BC Ferries to Duke Point.
Tsawwassen to Nanaimo (Departure Bay) - You will take BC Ferries to Departure Bay. *Please note there are limited sailings for this route.*
Tsawwassen to Victoria (Swartz Bay) - You will take BC Ferries to Swartz Bay
COMING FROM THE USA
You have a few travel options available to you. You can travel direct from Washington State, or cross the border into Canada at Blaine (Peace Arch.) I have explained all the travel options below.
Ensure you are prepared when you get to the Canadian Border. Please make sure you have reviewed all information for Americans crossing the border on the CBSA web site. There are special rules for what food you can bring, pets, alcohol, etc. We would hate to see you turned away at the border!
Port Angeles, WA to Victoria BC - You can take the Black Ball Ferry from Washington and arrive in downtown Victoria (apx 2 hour drive to Coombs, BC.)
Tsawwassen to Nanaimo (Duke Point) - You will take BC Ferries to Duke Point.
